Blog Revival
So I had a blog on the wordpress site and I never really updated it. This I think was mainly due to the fact it was on their site and therefore you couldent really mess about with it too much, being the geek that I am I like to mess about with website type stuffe, kinda like catholic priests and choir boys.
I recently had to setup a WordPress blog up for a client at work on our own servers and was quite impressed how easy it was to deploy and play about with so I decided to do one for my self. Bit of a dilema as I didnt really want it hosted at work for a few reasons but my good olde chum Henry came to the rescue and after a bit of giggery pokery I R have Blogz.
I post a lot of crap/thoughts/funnies whatever to people via email, facebook, msn etc… and hit on the idea that I might as well just post it on this here blog and feed it out to all these places falling under that gay buzzword web 2.0 i guess, although we’ll leave that expression to IT salesman who like lots of money and fucking supermodels on their private jets (barstardios).
So yea thats it… more to come. For now I shall leave you with this picture of a monkey.

I love wordpress…. if someone want a basic site with only a couple of pages its easier to install wordpress and whack together the template in it rather then just do it static.
The template engine is the tits.
WordPress FTW!
I spent ages trying to find a theme that I liked, this one is called iBlog2, which does not mean I am converting to apple products hah.
but yea as a package its pretty amazing.
I’m thinking we might tie it into emarketing campaigns at work instead of piping through to generic news on their websites, we just need more forward thinking clients heh
p.s haha i have you ip# address now leonard, which is funny as its identical to mine lest the last octet yours is 43 an mine is 30… BeThere yo
WordPress configured properly (and with a thought out template) is really well SEO’d and I find for the few peeps I’ve put on to it through jobs it’s easy to get people excited. The key word is community! Just need to be able to talk to them yourself first. Easy to dev on too.
Buggers joomla clean out of the showers. Templating on joomla is cack for quick turnaround unless you design to it’s limitations. Shame because apart from that’s it’s pretty powerful.
